Services, variants and packages

GuideUpdated September 24, 2026

In short

A service needs only a name. Variants give one service several prices and lengths, a price range shows clients a 'from, to' price, and a package bundles services into one booking at its own price. Owners and receptionists manage them under Shop, Services.

Your menu lives under Shop, in Services. Owners and receptionists can add and change anything there; only the owner can retire or delete.

Where to find it

A service

Only the name is required. Add a length and a price when you know them. Prices are in your shop's currency.

Variants
One service, several versions
Short and long hair, say. Each has its own price and length, and clients must pick one.
Price range
From, up to
For work you price on the day. Clients see both numbers.
Online or not
Per service
Offline only keeps it off your booking page, and your team can still book it.
Who does it
Per person, or per variant
Someone assigned to the whole service covers every variant.

Packages

A package bundles several services into one booking, with its own price and length: a colour and a cut, say. It needs at least two things inside. A package can also come in variants, each with its own price, length and contents.

Retiring and deleting

Retire
Hidden, not gone
No new bookings. Past appointments stay as they were, and you can bring it back.
Delete
Gone for good
Only for a retired service with no appointments that is in no package.

Changing a price

When the owner changes a price, Scisso asks whether to update upcoming appointments too, either recurring ones or all of them from a date. It never touches past appointments, online bookings, paid appointments or ones with a promotion.

Seeing it as clients do

Preview shows your menu exactly as it appears on your booking page. Your booking page itself is switched on in the online booking settings.
