Connect Google Calendar and bring in your bookings

GuideUpdated September 24, 2026

In short

Connect your Google Calendar from your profile, and every change you make there from then on appears in Scisso. Bookings you already have come in with the import, which sends no confirmations unless you ask it to.

Your Google Calendar stays yours. Scisso reads it and writes to it, so you can keep booking the way you always have and still get reminders, online booking and client history.

  1. Step 1ConnectProfile, Google Calendar, then sign in with Google
  2. Step 2Pick a calendarOnly if you have more than one
  3. Step 3Set your rulesColours and keywords, so events sort themselves
  4. Step 4ImportBring in the bookings you already have

Connecting

Open your profile, then the Google Calendar section, and choose Connect Google Calendar. Google asks you to allow access to your events and your list of calendars, then sends you back.

From that moment, anything you add or change in Google Calendar appears in Scisso within moments. Events that were already in your calendar are not pulled in by connecting: that is what the import is for.

Where to find it

If you can write to more than one calendar, a Calendar to track choice appears, so you can pick the one your bookings live in.

Values shown for an example shop.

Bringing in the bookings you already have

Once you are connected, Import existing events reads your calendar from today forward and shows a preview before anything is saved: how many events it found, which ones it can link to a client, which will need a look, and which are personal time.

How far ahead
90 days to 2 years
Two years unless you pick less. Past events are never imported.
All-day events
Skipped
Only events with a start and end time become appointments.

Off unless you ask
Clients are not told about bookings they already know of. Reminders still go out.
Running it again
Safe
Events already in Scisso are left as they are.

A shared calendar for the whole team

By default each person connects their own Google Calendar. If your shop runs on one Google account, the owner can switch on Shared Google Calendar mode in Settings, connect once, and give each employee their own calendar from that account on the Employees page.

Values shown for an example shop.

Shared Google Calendar mode

Connect once and assign a calendar to each employee from the Employees page. While this is on, employees cannot connect or disconnect their own.

Off

Switching it on disconnects anyone who had connected their own account, which is why it asks first. The same calendar cannot be given to two people.

If syncing stops

If Google refuses to sync for a while, an amber note appears in the Google Calendar section. After 72 hours of failures in a row, Scisso disconnects the calendar so nothing half-syncs. Connecting again starts fresh.
